The best part of working on Revit for our clients is the flexibility and ease in which changes are made for our clients. In the past, drawings and layouts were drawn in lines just like you would draw onto a piece of paper, but now we actually 'build' while we draw, using three dimensional objects. We use walls, floors, ceilings, lights, furniture and put them into our 'building' as if we were moving in. Revit gives us the ability to help our client envisage what they want the finished product to be in the end. Revit is an amazing tool for Interior designers but the importance of real samples, actual materials and interactive collaboration should never be overlooked. The design industry in South Africa today has some amazing and versatile products which not only enhance the beauty of the projects we work on but fit the space in a functional way. It is an exciting time to be a designer as fresh ideas and approaches to the way we work develop.
